ONE Happy Camper - First Birthday
My dear friend planning a small family gathering for her nephew’s first birthday. She had asked me to create a Balloon "1” for the occasion and then mention that they were going to have a camping theme. I couldn’t help but put together a few more party elements and pull our some pieces from past events to go along with the balloons for the adorable “Happy Camper” Jude.
The ONE happy camper sign was created using a Silhouette Cameo electronic cutter. I found the “happy camper badge” cut from Sophie Gallo in the Silhouette Design Store and then adding the ONE mulit-colored layered letters over the top.
The felt fishing set and campfire s’mores set were both great Target Dollar Spot finds a few months back. I picked them up originally for my kids, but quickly realized they had great party decor potential as well.
Check out these adorable Let’s Explore party decorations from Meri Meri. They would be perfect for any camp or wilderness themed party!
The plaid fabric was unfinished and just purchased from JoAnn Fabric. The metal pail is from Hobby Lobby and the blue LED lantern and wood centerpiece slice were both purchased at Michaels. The brown backdrop was actually a piece removed from my kitchen in the remodel and I just pained some trees on butcher paper and layered them to make a forest background. I used my Silhouette Cameo electronic cutter to create the banner from a basic banner package and sized it to cut 8 pieces per 8.5x11 inch sheet of yardstick. I used some camping cuts from a Lori Whitlock 3D Tent Box to add to the edges. I made a simple balloon arch to to complete the look.
I only wish that I had a simple play tent to set up with the backdrop to complete the look. Check out these fun options!
I loved getting to put together this small party set up and will look forward to seeing photos of sweet lil’ Jude, the happy camper at his party!
