Mother's Day Tea
This year I was dreaming of celebrating Mother’s Day with my Mom and Grandma over a lovely floral inspired tea set up. In years past we have celebrated by going to a tea house together and my sweet 93 year old grandmother has delighted my kids in several sweet tea parties through the years, so celebrating this way to us all. Yesterday I made socially distanced visit to see them both. Although chatting with Grandma through her patio window and then sitting across the yard from my Mama, sipping champagne in the sun, was wonderfully heart filling, I will look forward to the day when we can indulge in another celebratory tea together. When we do, it will look like this!
Months ago I found the adorable Meri Meri brand floral plates, then more recently I came across the fun Spritz felt floral banner at Target along with the blue gingham napkins. When I found the adorable Mother’s Day Printable set from alexazdesigns on Etsy my Mother’s Day Tea set up inspiration was found!
To complete the look I pulled some color coordinated table runners from past events, white photo frames, pictures with my special gals, tea service and the paper flowers and daisy garland from my Carrot Craze Easter Egg Hunt table scape. After a trip to Trader Joe’s for all sorts of delicious goodies: orange almond scones, pain au lait, floral mousse petite cakes, raspberry shortbread hearts, and flower gummy candies to make the table look scrumptious. I was able to bag up treats for Mom and Grandma and paired them with a Simpler Wines Peach sparkling wine from Trader Joe’s, because who doesn’t love to celebrate with bubbles!
Wishing all the Mothers out there a beautiful day! Hopefully next year our celebrations will take place with our loved ones and will feel even sweeter!
