Throwback... Lego Race Car Party

Erin
It’s been quite a few years since this party, but it was such a fun themed event with really simple crafts that created a great party atmosphere for the guests. Check out the photos below for inspiration and then the photo links at the bottom will take you to how we’ve styled similar parties more recently and contain links to purchasing themed decorations and party ware.
The electronic cutter was used to make the large Davis letters at the top out of yardstick as well as the colorful Happy Birthday banner. The sheets of colors poster paper are made to look like LEGO bricks when circles are added in rows. These were cut from cardstock by hand but you could also use paper plates in the matching colors (maybe inexpensive ones like they often have at Dollar Tree)
Juice boxes are wrapped in cardstock and then then foam circles are added to give the smaller brick effect. So easy and they were perfect for the kiddos.
A selection of treats that match the color scheme are always a hit. Here Cindy included LEGO brick candy and Lego candy pops made with a melting candy molds and Lego head pops made with marshmallow and chocolate melts.
The color primary color scheme against the white background helps this party stand out. They wrapped the presents in the boxes and use the lego storage bricks to decorate along with clusters of helium filled balloons from the party store.
Cindy embellished this grocery store cake with a fun finish line pennant and the lego race car to fit the theme perfectly. We gravitate toward less expensive cakes for younger kids because they often don’t eat much of the cake itself.
Fun themed candy treat bar!
The racetrack! Guest of the party were given a the parts to construct their own LEGO race car and then they had a blast racing them on this track that Shane built.
Fun and easy decorations that can be made with LEGO bricks!
