Mar 19 Bobbi's Floral Spa Party

Birthday Party, Balloon Installation, Quarentine Adjusted, Theme Party

My girlfriends & I love to get together and celebrate special occasions together! This year we’ve been forced to celebrate as a small group, but we still wanted the celebrations to be memorable and make the person we are celebrating feel loved. Recently, it was Bobbi’s turn to be celebrated. My friend Esmari and I had so much fun creating an evening to surprise Bobbi with things she loves: Pretty pink and floral decorations, cozy but fashionable PJ’s, spa treatments, yummy food, champagne and decadent French desserts.

My friend Esmari hosted this little gathering in her beautiful home. Esmari is a fantastic hostess and party planner herself so it was fun to team up to plan this party.

Bobbi is a talented baker so in planning her party, we knew we had to find a fabulous dessert she would appreciate. We decided to go with a relaxed Boho vibe and set a large coffee table with the party goods and placing piles of coordinating cushions, pillows and blankets on the floor to be used at seats. We set up food and beverage tables around the sides of the room, lit candles, had spa music playing quietly and even had an essential oil diffuser going so the atmosphere was felt celebratory yet intimate and cozy, perfect for our small group.

For this event, we chose to go with lots of trays of finger food so that we could nibble through the evening. Meat, cheese, fruits and nut charcuterie boards with salami roses were created by Esmari and balanced with boards of sweet treats from La Panier and Trader Joe’s. It was all paired with delicious champagne and refreshing grapefruit cocktails.

The bar set up with spa waters, grapefruit juices and one of our champagne with beautifully decorated glasses.

We found these fun marbled pinks PJ bottoms are from the Stars Above line at Target as well as these dusty rose crop sweatshirts from Joy Lab. I added a Champagne Gang logo from Gold Struck Designs on Etsy to the front with Iron On black vinyl. This cut was easy to create with my Silhouette Electronic Cutting Machine and easy weed iron-on black vinyl.

Each guest received a fun bunny-eared headband to secure their hair during facial treatments. So playful and perfect for this group of guests! The party ambiance kind of felt like 1 part spa, 1 part elegant wine tasting, and 1 part casual sleepover.

We set up several tables of snacks, a beverage and dessert table, and a corner devoted to spa supplies. We had some items left over from the Lush Spa Party and were able to put the hand towels, steamer and essential oil diffuser.

We kept the place setting simple with white porcelain salad plates layered with lovely floral napkins, rose gold Spritz brand plastic silverware from Target, plastic mini stemless champagne flutes with coordinating pink floral straws that we cut down to be the right size. The silverware was all tied together with these adorable blush foam flowers that matched those used in the balloons and floral arrangements.

Additionally guests received freezing eye masks, natural lip balm and a lovely soft pink OPI brand nail polish.

Esmari made fresh squeezed grapefruit for the delicious cocktails and then she used grapefruit to decorate cylinder vases with floating candles.
